PITTI UOMO 110: Where the Future of Menswear Takes Shape

From June 16 to 19, 2026, Florence once again takes center stage on the international fashion map. Celebrating its 110th edition, Pitti Immagine Uomo reaffirms its position as the world's leading platform for contemporary menswear, bringing together more than 720 brands from over 30 countries within the historic setting of the Fortezza da Basso.

Far more than a trade fair, Pitti Uomo represents a global ecosystem where creativity, craftsmanship, innovation, sustainability, culture, and international business converge. It is where Made in Italy meets the world—and where the world looks to Italy for insight into the future of luxury, design, and contemporary lifestyle.

This landmark edition unfolds across five distinctive sections—Fantastic Classic, Futuro Maschile, Superstyling, Dynamic Attitude, and I Go Out—offering a comprehensive overview of the aesthetic, cultural, and commercial transformations reshaping the global menswear landscape.

The Pool: A Reflection on Contemporary Identity

The visual and conceptual theme of Pitti Uomo 110 is The Pool, curated by Chris Vidal Tenomaa and Tuomas Laitinen of SSAW Magazine.

The campaign imagery depicts a young man gazing into his reflection upon the still surface of water, evoking a contemporary reinterpretation of the myth of Narcissus. Inspired by the visual language of David Hockney, the concept explores identity, transformation, self-awareness, and the evolving nature of masculinity.

In a world increasingly defined by individuality, diversity, and self-expression, The Pool becomes a powerful metaphor for contemporary menswear: fluid, conscious, authentic, and constantly evolving.

International Visionaries at the Heart of Pitti Uomo 110

Among the most anticipated highlights of this edition are the presentations of two influential voices in contemporary fashion.

Irish designer Simone Rocha will present a special runway event on June 18 at the Teatro della Pergola. Renowned for her ability to merge romanticism, artisanal craftsmanship, and experimental design, Rocha brings a sophisticated and emotionally resonant vision of modern menswear to Florence.

Joining her is Japanese designer Kei Ninomiya, presenting the Spring/Summer 2027 collection of DSM Kei Ninomiya at the Complesso di Sant'Orsola. Celebrated for his conceptual approach and technical innovation, Ninomiya continues to challenge the boundaries between fashion, art, and architecture.

Together, these two designers embody the diversity and creative dynamism that define contemporary fashion today.

Immersive Experiences and New Creative Languages

Pitti Uomo 110 extends well beyond the traditional runway format, embracing new forms of storytelling and audience engagement.

South Korean designer Jiyong Kim presents an immersive exhibition conceived as a living dialogue between garments, space, and time. Rather than a singular fashion show, the project invites visitors into an evolving experience that continuously interacts with its surroundings.

Danish label Sunflower will make its mark through a special presentation at the Terrace of the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino as part of the CPHFW Special Project.

Meanwhile, Antonio Marras transforms his Florence boutique into an immersive cultural space with Untailored – The Blazer Culture, a project exploring the blazer as a symbol of contemporary elegance, inclusivity, and gender-fluid sophistication.

Another standout initiative is Suspended Grounds: Textile Becomes Surface. Surface Becomes Language, an installation developed by Consinee in collaboration with Sara Sozzani Maino and Galib Gassanoff. The project investigates the relationship between textile innovation, craftsmanship, and artistic expression.

The exhibition program is further enriched by He(ART), a capsule collection born from the collaboration between Cuoio di Toscana and Paul Andrew, celebrating the heritage of Tuscan leather craftsmanship through a contemporary lens.

Florence: A Global Crossroads of Creativity

As emphasized by Antonio De Matteis, Pitti Uomo continues to serve as a catalyst for ideas, partnerships, innovation, and cultural exchange.

At a time when the fashion industry is navigating technological transformation, sustainability challenges, digital acceleration, and evolving consumer expectations, Pitti Uomo remains a strategic platform for the global fashion ecosystem.

Buyers, retailers, designers, investors, journalists, and opinion leaders from every continent gather in Florence not only to discover collections but also to understand the forces shaping the future of the industry.

The AFRICAN MINDS Perspective

For AFRICAN MINDS, Pitti Uomo represents far more than a fashion event.

It is a platform for intercultural dialogue. A meeting point where heritage and innovation coexist, where craftsmanship encounters experimentation, and where creativity becomes a universal language capable of connecting people, cultures, and markets across continents.

The 110th edition once again confirms Florence as one of the world's most influential capitals of menswear culture and a privileged observatory of the transformations that will define the next chapter of global fashion.

As luxury continues to evolve beyond products toward values, narratives, and experiences, Pitti Uomo remains a benchmark for excellence, vision, and international influence.

From Florence to the world, the conversation continues.
